Ever wish your Mage, Priest, Bard etc, could get some weapons skills? Paralyze or Web a highwayman, have you fighters defend, and your spellcasters/specialists wail away. When he gets close to death, have your priest heal him, re-paralyze, and start flailing away again. After everyone has gotten enough licks in for a skill-up (seems like 3-4 hits will usually do it), put the highwayman to sleep and run from the battle. Combat will end, you'll get the skill-ups, and he will still be sleeping on the spot. Return, rinse, repeat. Not exactly cricket, but I've created a few "practice dummies" this way, and my spellcasters and bard are actually getting decent with their weapons.
(note...I wouldn't try this on groups, you DON'T want a trio of highwaymen swinging at your Mage if something goes wrong)

Now THAT is funny!
But how do you find a lone highwayman to practice on? They always seem to come in groups! Ha, maybe I'll try this sometime, but I'm not sure I'll have the stomach for it. I get queasy hitting on paralysed enemies who are helpless to defend themselves.
Of course, they do wake up and start hitting back hard, so that's enough motivation for me.
Anyway, this is a pretty clever idea!

They came, as usual, in a bunch. All got sent to their reward except one, and as my party was still in good shape, I decided to play around a bit. ;D (I felt a bit guilty, but not enough to stop me)

Good idea. I had no clue that you could cast heal wounds on a target besides your party. Completely forgot. Time to play...

I got the mindblast rod by casting eye for an eye on the enemies and then luring them to the mindblast room. When they came to aid me, i start blasting away and healing the enemies at the same time. Of course, i had element and soul shield b4 entering the room. Pity those t'ang trying to help me...too bad they are guarding something i want and i do not want the whole t'ang camp to become hostile.
