the manual says that piety helps you learn skills faster
does this affect the learning rate of all skills?
if so, it is good to invest in piety even if none of the your characters skills use the attribute directly
if not, i guess you shouldn't bother investing in piety if it's not relevant to your skills (a fighter for example)

I have found Piety to be very little use except for magic-users. It does add a bit to stamina, and might help some with skill learning, but I think intelligence helps more here. It is VERY important for all magic users, including alchemists and psionics, as it contributes directly to how many spell points you have. For all other classes, I think you can safely ignore it and focus on more primary attributes. (unless you really want to top out Piety and get the Iron Will skill)

i just discovered that! i was amazed when i put points into PIE and saw my Little Aria (mage) get quite a handful of spell points! and all that time i thot it was INT only for magick users!
i couldn't figure out why my Felpurr Monk wasn't getting stronger with her magic, and it's cuz her PIE was way down there, scraping bottom at 35 or something... i hadn't touched it because i was pumping up her VIT DEX and SPD!
LOL!
