This may sound dumb...but I have a gadgeteer in my party, and I keep picking up all these items only he can use, but I don't know how to use any of them. Basically he's a lockpick with a gun for me. I'd love to make him a more integral member of the party. How do these items work?

You find which 2 items fit together to make something and you use the merge item button at the bottom of screen to put it together. Like all the other skills - you might only be able to make stuff if you skill is high enough.
I don't know where you can find the "recipes" to make things. I am sure someone must have it posted on a website?
